Day 171 and 172: Yukata Festival, Japanese interview & Farewell Party

Saturday 25th of July
Yay for weekend! Enjoying some delish Norwegian breakfast <3

 I couldn't take all day off because I had 1 hour English tutoring from 12:00-13:00 with a new student. It went very well, and we enjoyed pizza while practicing English conversation.

I was suppossed to practice some Japanese when I got home but ended up using the time to fix my hair for the festival. Not long after Jimmy came over to help me put on my yukata

 I looooove my nails! My nails have been growing so long and strong after eating healthier and exercising ^_^ And the matt pink nailpolish is the BOMB!

On our way from SeisekiSakuragaoka to Asakusa we met many people on the way. Some went all "fargirl" over me by getting my attention by waving and calling me. It was fun!

But were Jimmy and I prepared for the TONS of people going to Asakusa? NO! Absolutely not...

Soon after arriving a TV-crew asked us some questions and followed us around. They stayed a little too long with us so I had to ask them to stop after like 30 minutes... 

But we ended up on TV so that was pretty cool! :D

Sunday 26th of July
After my 2 hour English tutoring I did some small prep for my exam tomorrow~ Then it was chilling before the farewell party at our Share Place, It was amazing! I'm staying another month, but it was really nice and emotional!

Day 168, 169 and 170: 5 months anniversary, Tokyo Summerland and looking for apartment together

Wednesday 22nd of July
Yay for 5 months with Jimmy! 

Too bad I had Uni and work ;_; 
During Japanese class we were only 4 people, then only 3 for the last class xD It was so strange to be so few in class... Then it was work again, and a few students didn't show up. After all, everything went smoothly~
Since Jimmy and I didn't have any time today to celebrate we enjoyed some yummy fastfood together in Shinjuku after work. I also bought a new bikini for Tokyo Summerland~ 

Thursday 23rd of July
Who is ready for Summerland? Not us because it's raining! *cries* So instead we ended up doing school work/reading for exams... And that is mostly what we did. During the afternoon we went to Ikebukuro for some shopping, but nothing was of interest...It's weird how when you're set on shopping, you don't find anything...
I had an awesome salad wrap so I'm happy!

I also bought a new mango tea!

Friday 24th of July
Finally time for Summerland!

It took about 1 hour and 45 minutes to get there! And since we wanted to be there when it opened we had to be take the first train at 07:31... We didn't have to change trains too many times so it wasn't too bad. BUT! Guess what... We forgot 2 of bags on one of the trains... We put them on the top shelf while sitting and forgot to take them with us when leaving the train. So we had to ask at the station, but at the end station the staff hadn't get the bags reported. So either it's on the train back or someone took it. So Jimmy is going to call tomorrow to see if it has been reported in and the bags are in the system (so we know which station they ended up at).

Hopefully we'll get them back! Since our towels and Jimmys swiming shorts were in the bags, we had to buy new ones at the Summerland. Good thing we could buy new!

Then we had fun for 3 hours before the weather turned bad and we went back home to study. Later we went to look for a new place together. 

The common space is pretty small, but the room was very nice! We have a big balcony (common use, but hey, it's closest to us xD) Big wardrobe and mirror and the bed is under the ceiling so we have a lot of space. I think we'll take it! It's also the only room on the third floor so hopefully we won't hear much from the others. 

163-167: 3 more exams to go, and I made Norwegian food; Rundstykke med brunost!

Friday 17th July
In Sustainability-class there were the last two people presenting. It went quick and we took a group picture together. I'm going to miss the teacher because she was very nice! I also handed in my final report for the Social change in Japan-class. It was 3 pages and I wrote about womens status during the Meiji Period. It think gender issues are very interesting so I'm glad I could write about it. In the final class we also talked about our report to each other before saying our goodbyes to the teacher.
After class I met Jimmy in Shibuya to eat dinner at Watami. Jimmy also bought a new PC!

Saturday 18th July
Even though I just want to relax all weekend, I had woooooork! Well, I said yes to it myself, so can't complain. First I met with Goto to talk about available working hours at his privat "English school" (Very small). Then I had a 1 hour session conversation practice with one of my own students. I also got to do all the shopping for my friend Siri. She wanted me to buy her a lot of different things from Japan ^^
Sunday 19th July
Today I prepared for my presentation, relaxed and had a 2 hour English session in Shibuya. That's pretty much it...Ah! I made rundstykke from the whole grain flour my mom sent me!

And the brown cheese survived! I'm soooo happy!!!
Monday 20th July
From 10.00-12.00 I had my group over for practicing our presentation that is tomorrow. The presentation is about Trends in tourism; Japan and Norway. 
And of course, we had to take a tour around my share place:

The practgicing went very well! So after they left I went jogging, but it was so damn hot, it ended mostly in walking, haha! 

Since it's a red day in Japan called Marine Day (海の日 Umi no Hi), I hoped it would be free from work. But it wasn't so I still had to go. But I was not the only onw thinking so; 4 out of 7 students didn't show! Haha!
Tuesday 21th July
Dooms day; presentation!!!! It actually went pretty good. Next Tuesday is the last class where we get our Journals back etc. 3 exams done, 2 to go!!!

I have been in love with fruits lately~~ Soooo good! But very expensive *cryyy*

Monday 13th of July
Breakfast!!! It looks like it's smiling <3

I took my bike to Uni today, but it was a little warmer than I thought it would be... I rode with Manon, but it didn't look like the heat was of any problems for her. Let's just say my whole face was pink when I got to class. Penny somehow thought this was hilarious as I'm not used to having very wam summers. After this Penny has been legit worried about me and the heat xD So I don't go anywhere without my fan and a bottle of water! You know who is NOT going to die from a heatstroke? ME! Haha! Uni went as usual, and so did work. I had forgotten about July's pay so I was happy to see that I got 60.000 yen~ Yay! Money! I'm going to work at the cram school until the 5th of August. I'm rather going to base my income on my private tutoring instead. At this point I have 4 students. Taking the bike home from work was very nice! The bugs in my face, on the other hand, is pretty annoying...
Tuesday 14th of July
Breakfast!!! So goooood~~

After class I did some preperation for my new student. He wanted to practise listening and conversation today. We met in Shibuya, and as always it was fucking hot! 2 hour of intense English was very tiring for him, I could see xD Haha, poor guy! But it was alot of fun! Since I was in Shibuya I decided to go to Jimmy because he lives close by. I stayed there working on my report that's due Friday! So before going home we ate out on a Italian restaurant 

Wednesday 15th of July
More Uni and more work! Wednesdays are usually more stressing than Mondays, but it went fairly well today ^_^ Some of my friends were planning to go to the Summerland tomorrow, but as it's going to be rainy I don't know if it's going to happen or not. But I really wanna go to a pool or a beach soon, because the rainy season will be over soon now, and I need water xD 

After work I met Jimmy in Chofu for dinner! But I managed to order something I didn't like, so I was sooo sad! Luckly they have a all-you-can-eat deal on bread so it eased the pain. Jimmy is so sweet to trade the food I don't like with what he got. It can't be any better than that! I was actually gonna go home after the dinner, but decided to stay over and do my report at his place in stead. During the night there were a big storm going on! Luckly not for long, but damn! 

Thursday 16th of July
Report, report, report, report and a little more report. I had to be done today so I actually managed to do so! I'm going to look it over tomorrow before handing it in~ I also did some exercising and napped in the bed under the aircon! When Jimmy was done at Uni we went to eat at Gasto~

 And my lovely Jimmy! I didn't know a soon to be 26 year old man could look so innocent and cute! Look at the fluffiness! LOOK AT IT!!! :D Just want to punch his face because he's so darn cute!

After meeting a new student in Meidaimae for a 1 hour lesson I went home~ And do you know what was waiting for me? A PACKAGE FROM MOM!! :D Do you know why? Because my mom is better than your mom! (I'm just kidding, but let's be honest, my mom is awesome!) Only bad part was that my flour had exploded, that being said; I saved 99%

I do  believe that this package has fought it's way to Japan! Look at it! WHO PUNCHED IT!?
