Day 23: Language exchange and visiting Hiro

Hello!

So today I had my language exchange in Ichigaya, Shinjuku. It took about 40 minutes to get to the place we were going to meet. It was at the Borderless House building, since they're the one organizing the meeting. My partner was Moe, a japanese girl that wanted to learn english. Jimmy was so nice to travel with me, because I was afraif of not finding the place. But we did find it! :D So at the meeting we startet with a little self intoduction and filled out some paper work. Then it was 20 minutes talking japanese and then 20 minutes talking 20 english. But the thing was that we were on a very different levels. I could speak a lot more japanese than she could speak english. That wouldn't necessary be a problem, but she was very shy! So I think she was a little afraid to try (and maybe fail)... I spoke a lot of japanese, even when I know it's wrong. As long as she understands it's a good start. So the employee at Borderless had to translate a lot, but we did manage to speak together. We were both going back to the station and taking the train to Akihabara. And on the way there we actually spoke more than we almost did during the whole meeting xD Haha. We scheduled to meet in a week at her shared house. I'm going to study some more for the meeting! :D

After being in Ichigaya I took the train to Asakusabashi (one stop after Akihabara) to visit Hiro! And this we could actually meet :P It was so nice to meet his daughter Aimi! I brought norwegian chocolate and mom's gift to Aimi. Mom knitted a hat and sweater in the "Marius"-pattern, with norway's colors: red, white and blue. Yuki and Hiro were super happy for the gift, even if the sweater was a little big.

Yuki made a delicious dinner! It was so good! :D We also ate alot of snacks! I ate candied beans...yeah! BEANS! It was actually pretty good!

I also got to try japanese calligraphy~ I tried to write Aimi's name, but it came out horrible! Haha! I tried my best... While I was at Hiro's house we spoke a lot of japanese! So it has been a good day, thinking about practicing the japanese language. Jimmy has been doing some shopping for our date tomorrow <3 So I'm looking forward to that! :D

Before my date tomorrow, Steffi and I are going to the hairdresser to do something awesome to our hair. Let's just hope it goes fine, keeping in mind they most likely don't speak english! Wish me good luck!

Day 22: Yokohama with Moemi and dinner with Steffi, Joel and Jimmy

Hello!

So today I was suuper tired. Mainly because I've been up to late, and not getting enought sleep... But I met with Moemi today, in Yokohama at 13:00. I'm happy I set an alarm, or else I would have slept way past the meeting time. Side note: I got an e-mail today about my acceptance to the Tokyo Metropolitan University:
I'm goin to the University at the start of March to pick up the "real" copy and I think I'm going to sign something. Either way, It's nice to go there at least once before starting there. The only downside is that it's 1 hour by train...

When I met Moemi we went to eat lunch, because I hadn't eaten yet, We ate pasta, and I chose Carbonara:
Moemi chose a spicy roe pasta! And being super cute~
 BIRD!
 BRIDGE!
 PEOPLE!
(Sorry, I'm going to stop now...)
We went down a famouse shopping street in Yokohama and to different malls!

I tried taiyaki for the first time~ I had chocolate filling, because I don't like the traditional anko...

I bough a skirt, short, and a shirt. One of the employee was so excited about me and was very curious how Moemi had a friend like me (that I'm nordic, I guess). While I tried on some clothes Moemi and the employee had a lively conversation.
 Just a random picture~
After getting home from Yokohama, I had a skype conversation with one of the employee at the Borderless House. I have applied to a "host-family"-stay, and he asked me some querstions. I have always wanted to try to live with a host family! When I visited my, at the time fiancé, in 2013, I stayed at his host family's house. But it different to be a guest at the house and actually have them as "family". For international residents it's free of charge, so I really want to try! I applied to stay a week from 9th to 16th of March. I'm going to get an answer if a host family is available that periond, tomorrow. So I'm really looking forward to it! :D

I had to rush to Suidobashi to meet Steffi, Joel and Jimmy. We were meeting at 19, but they were 15 minutes late. Then we had to wait 40 minutes for David to come, but then he left because he was going to eat later? But... We met to eat dinner?...What? So yeah.... But, we found a restaurant called Watami, so we ate there.

Here is Steffi and Joel
 Here is me and Jimmy
I forgot to take a picture of the food, haha! But there is the dessert:
Jimmy was so nice, so I had some of his dessert too~
Tomorrow I'm going to have my language exhange-program at 13:30, and then later visit Hiro at 18:00. Then I can finally give Aimi-chan (his baby) her present from Norway! :D

Day 21: Hanging out with Ai

Hello!

Today I spend the day with my Japanse friend Ai, which I share the house with.
We went to Ueno and ate lunch. The lunch was a buffe, and it was delicious~ It was japanese style, and as Ai said, "I'm feeling so Japanese right now!", haha. I felt like that too xD It was a fancy restaurant, but not too expencive.

This was one of my plates:
Ai went to find more food xD

They had a lot of different teas, and I tried 2, one with lemon and one with red fruits.
 This was Ai's plate
It was at the 5th floor, but the view wasen't very interesting..

After eating I had some dessert. The ice cream was only for dinner :( *cries*, but they had hot chocolate, and it was awesome! I drank two cups of tea, two cups of hot chocolate and two cups of soda. I was sooooo full!
After eating we went back to Omori. We took it al out with darts, billiard, table tennis and karaoke! OMG! AND: all you can eat ice cream and all you can drink! Annnnd I'm going to get fat... D:

ready for darts!

 Ai won!
 Then I won!
This was the "buffe",and Ai being cute as usual! Haha~

Ant the best part:
Guess which one is mine! XD

 So sexyy~~

After this we played table tennis and sang karaoke, but I didn't take any pictures. It was soooooo much fun!! :D

Day 19 and 20: Jimbocho and Sushi + Karaoke

Hello!

24th of February

Today Jimmy and I went to Jimbocho. We walked around, chatted and ate ^_^ I had one of my favourite dishes: tonkatsu!! It's deepfried pork~

Jimmy being a cutie as always
Jimmy's food. It's deepfried chicken with vegetables and sauce.
This sidedish, tasted legit like a new shoe. It was new shoe-flavour, I'm not joking! And Jimmy ate it all for some reason......
 Just a little shopping~

25th of February

After Jimmy went to school, I had to do some grocery shopping. I only had my brunost, carrots and a potato, haha. Superclose to my house it two grocery stores, one big and one small. I bought all I needed at the big one, because it's cheaper. But I also want to support the small stores so I bough some vegetables and eggs. A funny sidestory; the "sale"-signs were hanging so low from the sealing that I bumped my forhead into them all the time! "Omg, somethings in my hair!", oh wait, it's just a salesign. Haha. Either way: I got so frustated because the chasier wouldn't stop talking to one of the customers at the registrer. I was sooooo close to just put thing back and go, because I think it's very rude. She clearly saw me, but kept on chatting while I was standing there waiting. Well, I finally got to buy the stuff, but I got kind og annoyed. I made myself some lunch which was fried vegetables, souse and tofu. I always make TOO much, so I have a the rest for dinner some other time. I talked to Ai while eating lunch and we decided what to do on Thursday. She's super nice, and I'm looking forward to hang out with her. After eating, I cleaned my room, watched Supernatural, did some landuary etc. At 18:00, Steffi and I went out to eat sushi and sing karaoke! We ate a lot! Because we love sushi so much~

We ate at Genki Sushi:

You can either take sushi from the belt that goes around and around, or you can order at the screen. The order then comes on a train that goes back and forth.
After eating it was time for karaoke

We sang for 2 hours, which sounds alot, but it goes superfast!
